Create a new territory inside your revenue organization with Cargo


In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of creating a territory in Cargo using the Revenue Organization module. This feature allows you to handle assignment logic consistently across different tools from a single interface.


Pre-requisites

Before you begin

Ensure you have:

  • Added your sales tools identifying the relevant sales members as connectors to Cargo
  • A clear understanding of the members and fallback members to be assigned to the territory.

Step 1

Access the revenue organization module

Navigate to the 'Revenue Organization' section in the Cargo workspace (from the settings option):


Click on 'Territories' under the 'Revenue Organization' section in the left-hand panel.



Step 2

Create a new territory

Click the + button to add a new territory:


In the Territories panel, click the + button to start creating a new territory.



## Configure the territory


- Label: Enter a name for your territory. For example, 'US'. - Color: Choose a color to represent your territory. - Description: Add a description for your territory to provide additional context. - Select Members: Choose members to be assigned to this territory. For example, 'Dario Guaita'. - Select Fallback Member: Choose a fallback member to handle assignments when primary members are at full capacity.



## Save the territory configuration

Once all configurations are set, click the Save button at the top right to finalize the creation of the territory.

Now, you have successfully created a new territory in Cargo using the Revenue Organization module. With this setup you can now directly assign leads to territories and sales reps from within a workflow using the allocation node.
